Skill Development

In our Bumble Bee group, children continue to develop critical skills they have been working on previously. We promote effective communication, helping children express themselves clearly and confidently. Independent self-help skills are nurtured to foster autonomy and self-sufficiency. Our program also encourages making appropriate choices, maintaining focus for extended periods, and creating meaningful friendships.

Additionally, we integrate problem-solving activities, literacy, and numeracy into daily routines. These elements are used to enhance cognitive abilities and prepare children for the increased academic demands of prep. By engaging in these activities, children learn to navigate challenges, establish early reading and writing skills, and understand basic mathematical concepts.

Transition Support

As the year concludes, each pre-prep child receives a transition statement. This document offers a comprehensive review of the child’s development and achievements throughout the pre-prep year. Families can present this transition statement to their child’s prep teacher, ensuring a smooth and informed transition into primary school. This continuity of care and information helps both the child and the prep teacher forge a successful start to the formal education journey.
